Second Grandchild Arrives!
During Holy week and Easter week vacation, we headed back to Seattle to see the birth of our new, beautiful grandchild, Sophia, and the chance to make up for lost time with our grandson Ethan, now 2 years old. How nice of our family to hold off the baby shower until we arrived. That gave Inez the opportunity to help organize and co-host a tea party shower to welcome Sophia. The best news was that baby girl came one day ahead of Byron's & Kawika’s departure back to Yucatan (while Inez, “Lita,” stayed on to help out). It was an incredible joy for Inez to support Malia through labor and witness Sophia's entrance into this world. By the way, she was named after Byron's late mother and even inherited her wavy hair!
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.

A quick visit to church friends!
We also took advantage of the trip to visit friends at Calvin, Rolling Bay & Everett First Pres. What a blessing to see them and receive encouragement from their friendship and support. We deeply appreciate the way they make us feel so welcomed back home and the joy they instill each time we visit. And a special thank you from Kawika to Bill & Chris for donating a new laptop since his Chromebook croaked. Gracias amigos for caring and showing us the light of Jesus in you!
