A teary farewell: Before leaving on our mission & furlough, Kawika asked to address the 3rd to 6th graders & teachers for a last “adios,” as he leaves Yaldud Montessori elementary & heads off to Blas Pascal middle school in August. Many classmates shared emotional messages to him. What wonderful memories. We will certainly miss our Yaldud family who will always have a special place in our heart.
As Kawika enters adolescence, we’re reading the book of Proverbs as a family. For one, it's a book on wisdom, and heaven knows he'll need it! As parents, we'll especially need it! Proverbs speaks on how to avoid peer pressure, to discern right from wrong, to know what really matters. Thankfully, Christ desires wisdom for us and has made it attainable if we truly seek it and apply it to our lives. Pray for us as we enter a new stage in our son's life.
The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. –James 3:17
